I didn't vote for Obama.
I have been appalled by the idiocy of the folks screaming for his head since he got elected. Some morons are even out claiming that we should rise up in insurrection to reclaim some mythical lost rights.
Here is how I see it. When you choose to walk into a voting booth, you agree to live with the results. By voting, you take part in a covenant that whether your chosen candidate wins or loses, you will live with the results of the election that you freely took part in.
Obama won a free and fair election.
If your candidate loses, you have four years to organize and kick him out. If you dislike the elected officials policies, you may use your free speech rights to attack those policies.
But by stating that you wish to take up arms and overthrow a president-elect who has not even taken the oath of office is nothing less than a statement that you no longer hold fast to the basic tenets of the constitution.
If you take up arms to overturn the results of a free and fair election, the technical description of the act is treason.

Mythical lost rights? You're kidding, right? Ever read the Constitution? Our rights have been lost for a long time......
First of all: are you absolutely certain it was a 'free and fair election'? I'm not.
As to free speech rights- the First Amendment- how long do you think we have before the Fairness Doctrine eliminates that? (You DO know B wants to reinstate it, right?)
Right, as to overthrowing him prior to inauguration: wait and see what he does before wanting to permanently impeach him.
As to holding 'fast to the basic tenets of the Constitution', if the elected official does not honor the Constitution, he is as guilty of treason. That is a free and fair statement of the facts as well. So what do you propose we do with a CIC who does not honor the Constitution?
Or would having a plan be an act of treason?
I didn't vote for him when I went into the booth, but he did 'win' (tongue in cheek). I will make my judgement after 20 Jan. Still, he supports so many agendas I do not agree with, I will not claim him as 'my' president.

I am getting so tired of emails about Obama and this and that and rumor and blah blah blah. Here's the facts: It is what it is. He's the president-elect and we've got four years. Suck it up and start working on your local government and congress. They're a bigger threat than the president.
And I didn't vote for either side either.
Not only is Mayberry and Shy correct but one only need look into the Declaration of Independence to justify any actions against said Government. If the rights are yanked you better believe there will be action. That's what we are waiting on. When we become that military state he so loving compared us too.
Really I'm amazed. After eight years of a Republican administration putting in place the Patriot Act, secret prisons, torture, killing Habeas Corpus and building a domestic spy program where they see/listen to every phone call, email, Internet search and banking transaction that all of the sudden folks are nervous about Obama who taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School. I bet Bush can't list all ten of the Bill of Rights. Obama? He can teach you about it.
People are more worried about the first black president then they were about the son of the head of the CIA and former president and grandson of a US senator. If you put up with Bush Incorporated for eight years you'll be able to make it through Obama.
Shy, did you have the same outrage about free and fair elections in 2000 when activist political appointee judges decided the outcome of a presidential election?
Abraham. Lets face it. The democrats brought that whole thing to court and lost. Wheather you like it or not, the Supreem court is the final say.

All of which was done under a democratic president during WWII, minus internet seraches and email of course. Grow up, it is what happens during time of war. Always has always will.

The first black president doesn't scare me his ideaology does. As far as Bush goes, I don't like that crap either. Both sides are corrupt and it needs to end.
