Yep
Trump might be finished. But another playwright, Bertolt Brecht, warned: "Do not rejoice in his defeat, you men. For though the world has stood up and stopped the bastard, the bitch that bore him is in heat again."
It is obvious that the Clintonians are worried about voter turnout. My wife is a yellow-dog Democrat and even she has serious misgivings about the Ms.
Its odd that it is the scumbag part of his personality that blew him up. Didn't everyone already know he was a scumbag? I was in New York when the whole Marla Maples thing was going on. Even a passing familiarty with those events should have kept the true-to-the-bible folks away. But I guess not.
10/18/16 I took a 5-6 hour tour through 3 SE Minnesota counties to see the leaves n things - I grew up in that area... stopped couple of times for coffee n once for lunch... lotta Trump signs, no Hillary sign, as in zero, zilch...
Unusual - that country used to be about half DFLers (Democratic Farmer Labor Party) and half fairly thoughtful Eisenhower types... the rural areas are getting depopulated - used to have 6,000 to 8,000 good farms per county up to the late 70s, now it's less than 1,000.
Talked to maybe 15 or so on my stops, maybe another dozen or so I listened to. Lots of smoldering anger out there - feeling they've been had by both sides; when they get ripped off by Big Ag chemo n seed cos., nobody helps 'em. Nowadays you can't run a farm unless you're hedging in options n futures and they're getting ripped off there too and no one helps 'em, though there were kind words for Liz Warren n Bernie.
Everyone knows Trump's a jackass, but the signs are a way to give the finger. Two guys had kids in the military and they were well aware of Hillary's views of mucking it up where we've got no business mucking.
So yeah... a long-winded way of saying everything's primed up, just waiting for the right person to light the fuse.
